SINGAPORE, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.15 percent or 5.32 points to close at 3441.69.
A total of 1.77 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 967.7 million Singapore dollars (about 724.94 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 224 to 156.
The STI index closed down 1.06 percent or 36.71 points to close at 3436.37 last Friday.
