SINGAPORE, June 14 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) went down 1.05 percent or 35.78 points to close at 3356.73.
A total of 2.6 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 2.06 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.54 billion U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 277 to 154.
The STI index closed down 1.11 percent or 38.18 points to close at 3392.51 Wednesday.
Singapore's stock trading will be suspended on Friday due to the Hari Raya Puasa holiday.
