TUNIS, June 25 (Xinhua) -- In the first five months this year, the exports of manufacturing industries in Tunisia grew by 26.8 percent, Tunisian Ministry of Industry said Monday.
The industrial exports reached around 15.2 billion dinars (about 5.8 billion U.S. dollars), the ministry said.
The increase was due to the depreciation of Tunisian dinar in relation to euro and dollar, and the good performance in certain sectors such as agriculture and food.
In the first five months of the year, 572 new industrial enterprises have been created in Tunisia, an increase of 57.6 percent over the same period last year.
