RABAT, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Moroccan and Chinese museums have agreed to start bilateral cooperation and exchanges, the official MAP news agency reported Tuesday.
Mehdi Qotbi, president of the National Foundation of Morocco's Museums, and Zhang Zikang, head of the Art Museum of China Central Academy of Fine Arts, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to initiate cultural exchanges between the two institutions.
During the meeting, Qotbi highlighted various aspects of the Moroccan culture and arts, as well as the efforts undertaken to preserve and promote them internationally.
Qotbi also met with Li Xiaojie, president of the China Foundation for Cultural Heritage Conservation, the report said.
The two sides discussed the issue of training in the field of conservation and restoration of ancient pottery, it added.
