PRETORIA, July 3 (Xinhua) -- The South African government is committed to working with other countries for collective responsibility and multilateralism, said the country's President Cyril Ramaphosa on Tuesday.

Ramaphosa was addressing the diplomatic corps who had presented letters of credence. He said Africa wants countries to solve their differences peacefully.

"It is for this reason that South Africa works to actively promote the centrality of multilateral institutions in managing global affairs and why we urge respect for international law and agreements," said Ramaphosa.

He started that the presence of the diplomats show their commitment to maintain ties with his country.

"We seek to work with our partners across the world to build a more democratic, just and equitable world order, one which prioritizes the needs and interests of the poor and vulnerable," he said.

South Africa is committed to work with other countries to address challenges like poverty, disparities in wealth, skills, resources and access to education, health and social support, Ramaphosa said.

"South Africa stands ready to work with all governments and peoples in achieving these objectives," he said.
