VIENNA, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Austria on Monday started temporary border entry checks, including the border with Germany and Italy, local media reported.
The border control led to miles of traffic jams in Bavaria in Germany on Monday morning, as vehicles had to slow down to go across the border, according to the report.
The informal meeting of EU Council Justice and Home Affairs is to be held this week in Innsbruck, an Austrian city in the west of the country to discuss the issue.
