BERLIN, July 20 (Xinhua) -- At least six people were injured in a knife attack in the northern German city of Lubeck on Friday, local media reported.
According to "Lubecker Nachrichten "and NDR, the offense is said to have occurred in a bus. There should be twelve light and two seriously injured.
The police initially did not confirm this message and did not provide information on the severity of the injuries.
Minutes later, a police spokesman said there had definitely been no deaths, according to the report.
Witnesses told local newspaper Das Bild that the attack happened in Kuecknitz neighborhood on a public bus en route to Travemuende.
The assailant let his backpack fall and then took out his weapon. The driver stopped the bus and was then struck by the suspect.
