TIRANA, July 28 (Xinhua) -- Albania registered a year-on-year air passenger growth of 13.4 percent in the first half of this year, according to latest figures released by the National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT).
According to INSTAT data, the number of passengers traveling by air stood at 1,270,329 in the first half of 2018. In June, the figure was 277,000.
The growth of air transport was also seen by the increase of airline companies operating in Albania, which stood at 22 this year, compared to 18 last year.
In addition, INSTAT data showed that the number of passengers traveling by sea line in June 2018 increased by 10 percent year on year.
