SARAJEVO, July 28 (Xinhua) -- A Saturday auto show featuring "Fico", a car that used to be a symbol of the former Yugoslavia, evoked feelings of nostalgia among Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH) fans.

Fico, a license-produced version of the Italian Fiat 600, was one of the most common cars driven in all six republics of the former Yugoslavia, including BiH. Produced from 1955 until 1985, Fico cars are still driven today.

Fadil Cerimagic, with the association of car-lovers Fico, said the Fico car celebrated its 63rd birthday this year.

This specific festival, or Fico Fest, gathers fans of Fico cars from BiH and countries of former Yugoslavia, reminding them of the old times, he said.

"Interest in this festival is enormous because Fico car is a favorite car of many people. They are emotionally attached to it," Cerimagic said, adding that visitors had the opportunity to see 63 Fico cars of different colors and years of production.

Some 200 participants from Austria, BiH, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Serbia and Switzerland, gathered at the main square in the Old Town Sarajevo, according to Cerimagic.

The one-day festival will be ending with Fico cars passing through main streets of Sarajevo.
