TRIPOLI, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- Libya's eastern-based army, led by Khalifa Haftar, on Saturday revealed that five terrorists suspected of shooting down a helicopter in 2014 have been arrested.

Haftar received a report on the arrest of the five terrorists who targeted a helicopter of the Libyan Air Force above the oil crescent region in February 2014, the army's information office said.

The four-member crew of the helicopter have not been found.

The helicopter was targeted after refueling from Sidra airport in the oil crescent region in eastern Libya. The region was then controlled by militias, before the army expelled them and retook the region.
