LONDON, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- It is less than three months since Liverpool lost the Champions League final to Real Madrid in Kiev, but Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp insists his side are ready for another season.

Liverpool kick off their Premier League campaign looking to improve on last season's fourth place finish, 25 points behind eventual winners, Manchester City.

Speaking to Sky Sports on the eve of the campaign, Klopp said there were "bigger problems in life than losing a Champions League final... It is a long time ago and a waste of time having that in your mind."

His side have spent heavily over the summer bringing in Brazil international goalkeeper Alisson to give greater stability in goal, which has been one of Liverpool's weak points in recent campaigns.

"From the first day he has been very stable and calm, but then again we already knew a few things about his personality when we signed him. And apart from catching balls, that helps massively. You need to have the right personality for that very difficult job. And obviously he has that," said Klopp, who is hoping that striker Mohamed Salah can also repeat the 32 goals he scored last season.

"It is obvious that he has to do it again, you can see in each session that he is a fantastic professional."

"We try to help him all the time in training, he is a great boy, but I do not talk to him every day about how he can score more than last season," he continued.

Nevertheless despite Xherdan Shaqiri, Fabinho and Naby Keita adding depth to his squad, Klopp doesn't know if Liverpool can win the Premier League. "That depends only on how we play, perform and fight, not on what I say now. How we react in the games and finish them," he concluded.
