MADRID, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Spanish Liga Santander side Valencia on Sunday officially presented Belgian international striker Michy Batshuayi to the press and the public.

The striker arrives on a year's loan from Chelsea to add pace to their attack as Valencia return to the Champions League this campaign.

Speaking to the press Batshuayi said he had decided to join the side that finished fourth in last season's Liga Santander because they were "competitive and would battle against all of the big clubs," in Spain.

"I want to win titles with Valencia, everything is possible as they are a very ambitions club and want to win as many games as possible," he commented.

Batshuayi said the style of Valencia coach Marcelino Garcia Toral was "similar to his" and that he aimed to "show his gratitude" to the club for showing faith in him.

Valencia kick off their new league campaign at home to Atletico Madrid on August 20. Last season saw Batshuayi score the goal which saw Chelsea defeat Atletico in the Champions League, inflicting Atletico's first ever loss in their Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Valencia are thought to be close to a deal to add Atletico's French striker Kevin Gameiro to their squad, while the club is still trying to sign Goncalo Guedes from PSG following his successful loan spell at Mestalla last season.
