ABUJA, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- A four-storey building collapsed Friday in Nigeria's capital city of Abuja, killing one person and trapping 18 others in the rubble.
Six persons have been rescued so far, as rescuers continued to comb the debris in search of the trapped victims.
The building, still under construction in Jabi district of Abuja, had at least 25 people inside when it suddenly collapsed Friday afternoon.
A heavy downpour in Abuja on Friday impeded rescue operation.
An investigation was being conducted to ascertain to cause of the building collapse.
