Thailand's Queen Mother Sirikit recovers from flu

BANGKOK, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's Her Majesty Queen Mother Sirikit has recovered from a flu at a Bangkok hospital where she will stay under care of doctors for an unspecified period of time.

The Bureau of the Royal Household announced on Tuesday that Her Majesty the Queen Mother, 86, has gradually recovered from the flu at Chulalongkorn hospital after having been admitted on Sunday.

Her Majesty the Queen Mother can now eat, engage in conversation and has had no more fever and less coughing, according to the Bureau of the Royal Household's statement.

Her Majesty the Queen Mother was admitted at Chulalongkorn hospital for the flu and will stay there under care of the doctors until she has regained good health, the Bureau of the Royal Household quoted the doctors as saying.
