ISLAMABAD, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- At least three security personnel were injured when a blast hit a vehicle of security forces in Pakistan's southwest Mastung district of Balochistan province late Saturday night, local reports said.

According to the reports, the vehicle carrying officials of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of police was passing through a market area of Mastung district when the bomb was exploded by a remote control device, injuring three officials of CTD.

Police said the blast was apparently caused by an improvised explosive device.

The blast also damaged two vehicles and created panic in the area, said local media Capital TV while citing security sources, adding that the blast targeted the vehicle of the security forces.

The injured security personnel were shifted to a nearby hospital.

After the blast, a heavy contingent of law enforcement agencies along with bomb disposal squad reached the spot and cordoned off the area.

No group or person has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
