VIENNA, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Transatlantic relations is still a key pillar of EU foreign policy, the relations between EU and America has never changed, said EU foreign policy chief on Friday.
"The United States is the closest partners and friends we have always had and that does not change," Federica Mogherini, EU top diplomat, told reporters in Vienna after the meetings with EU foreign ministers.
Mogherini said although there are some clear divergences she is frank and clear on it, but cooperation between both sides continues to be "excellent."
She said the relations is "a key pillar" of the European Union foreign policy.
After U.S. President Donald Trump took the presidency of the country, some people questioned the relations between the U.S. and EU, including the trade, security cooperation and so on.
