YANGON, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- The report of the Independent International Fact Finding Mission (FFM) on Myanmar is detrimental for social cohesion in Myanmar's Rakhine state and undermines the Myanmar government's efforts to bring peace, national reconciliation and development to the entire country, said a release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs late on Friday.

The FFM's report issued on Aug. 27 will only serve to create further divisions and mistrust in Rakhine state and the entire country, the release said.

The FFM was established by the United Nations Human Rights Council in March 2017.

Myanmar rejected to accept the results of its findings as its establishment, composition and mandate raised serious and genuine concerns that it would lack impartiality and hinder the government's own efforts to find long-term solutions to the situation in Rakhine state, the release said.

In the release, the Myanmar government vowed to continue its work toward peace, national reconciliation, development and democracy for all Myanmar people.

The government formed the Independent Commission of Enquiry on July 30 this year to investigate allegations of human rights violations and related issues.
