HARARE, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- Zimbabwe will next month launch a transitional economic stabilization program to steer the country towards its vision of becoming a middle income country by 2030, Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube said Tuesday.

The minister told journalists after a meeting with outgoing British ambassador to Zimbabwe Catriona Laing that the stabilization plan will contain a cocktail of economic reforms to help the country achieve its target.

"We are working on a transitional economic stabilization program that tries to operationalize Vision 2030," he said.

"The vision will see Zimbabwe becoming a middle income country with a per capita income of 5,000 U.S. dollars per person. This is achievable if we all have our hands on the deck," he said.
