SUVA, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- The Cultural week of China's Inner Monglia is underway in the South Pacific island nation of Fiji with perfect performances and photo exhibitions on the beautiful landscapes of Inner Mongolia and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

"No matter how many miles may keep between us, we both have beautiful scenery, charismatic culture and hard-working people. I believe this cultural week will become a bridge that promotes the friendship between the peoples of our two countries, and open a new chapter for the exchanges between Fiji and China's Inner Mongolia," he said.

For his part, Chinese Ambassador Qian Bo said cultural exchanges have played an important part in China-Fiji relations that have developed steadily in recent years. And he believed that with the joint efforts of both sides, cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two countries will yield more fruits in the years to come.

Mereseini Vuniwaqa, minister for women, children and poverty alleviation of Fiji, was very impressed with the performance and the photo exhibitions, saying that she was indeed very grateful and excited to be witnessing this event, which aims to promote the cultural exchange between China and Fiji.
