KIEV, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Kiev has imposed "special sanctions" on several Russian transport companies for their alleged cooperation with partners working in the non-government-controlled areas in eastern Ukraine, the State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) said on Thursday.

The restrictive measures are targeting RZD Logistics JSC, a subsidiary of the Russian state railway monopoly Russian Railways, and several other companies, the SBU said in a statement on its website.

According to the statement, the "special sanctions" include the freezing of assets, limitation of trade operations, as well as either full or partial ban on the transit of resources through the territory of Ukraine.

Russian companies have not commented on the issue yet.

Since 2015, Kiev has imposed sanctions on more than 700 Russian companies and some 1,700 individuals over their alleged role in the Ukrainian crisis.
