MADRID, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- There were several changes as Spain coach Luis Enrique on Thursday announced his squad for his side's forthcoming games against Wales and Cardiff.
Spain face Wales in a friendly in Cardiff on October 11th, before entertaining England in the UEFA Nations League in Seville four days later.
Injuries forced the coach to make some alterations to his second squad since being named as the long term replacement to Julen Lopetegui in the summer, with Diego Costa, Isco, Dani Carvajal, Inigo Martinez and Sergi Roberto all sidelined through injury.
That sees Jonathan Otto, who is currently on loan at Wolverhampton from Atletico Madrid handed his first call up, while Marc Bartra returns to the squad as do Koke and former Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer, who has not played for Spain since prior to the 2016 European Championships, but who has 3 goals in 2 appearances for Borussia Dortmund this season.
Full squad:
Goalkeepers: Kepa Arrizabalaga, Pau Lopez, David de Gea
Defenders: Gaya, Marcos Alonso, Raul Albiol, Nacho Fernandez, Sergio Ramos, Marc Bartra, Cesar Azpilicueta, Jonathan Otto
Midfielders: Sergio Busquets, Rodri, Koke, Dani Ceballos, Saul Niguez, Thiago Alcantara
