VIENNA, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Austrian Interior Minister Herbert Kickl renewed his skeptical opinion of a United Nations migration pact at a press conference here on Monday, the ORF reported.
The Austrian official expressed concern that the UN global compact for migration would lead to too much being determined from outside of his country.
He said the pact is presently being thoroughly analyzed to see if there are any threats to Austria.
Kickl was joined by Hungarian counterpart Sandor Pinter who was in the Austrian capital on a working visit.
Pinter spoke along similar lines, saying Hungary does not wish to be dictated on its migration policy. His country has already withdrawn from negotiations on the agreement, being the first to do so.
