TUNIS, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- A naval parade marking the 60th anniversary of Tunisian Navy was held Tuesday in the Gulf of Tunis in the northern suburbs of Tunis.
This parade brought together military vessels from Tunisia and other countries.
According to Tunisia defense ministry, this parade is an extension of the joint military exercise "Sea border" held in Tunisia on October 11 and 15, as part of an initiative called "5 + 5 Defense."
The military vessels that participated in this exercise conducted training focused on maritime surveillance, assistance to boats in distress and the fight against illegal activities at sea.
