TUNIS, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- French Development Agency (AFD) signed on Wednesday a financing line of 27 million euros (31 million U.S. dollars) for the benefit of Tunisian government in order to realize projects in the field of electronic health (e-health).

"This funding will be injected into projects in the field of health, including electronic health and medicine management in hospitals across the country," said Gilles Chausse, director of AFD in Tunis, during the 2nd edition of France-Tunisia Health Forum held in Tunis.

According to the Minister-Counselor of French Embassy in Tunisia Laurent Viguié, this project will help improve the functioning of hospital structures and ensure their evolution by relying on digital technologies.

Tunisian Minister of Health Imed Hammami revealed that two hospitals in the provinces of Tozeur in southwest Tunisia and Sidi Bouzid in central Tunisia, financed by France, are already underway.
