LOS ANGELES, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Two visitors have died after falling from an overlook in U.S. Yosemite National Park, said a statement of the National Parks Service on Thursday.
Park rangers were recovering the bodies of the man and woman who fell from Taft Point in Yosemite National Park on Thursday morning.
The identification of the deceased has not yet been determined, said the statement. This incident is under investigation and no further details are available.
Yosemite is located in California's Sierra Nevada mountains. Taft Point is a popular hiking destination with views of Yosemite Falls. At its peak, Taft Point's elevation is more than 7,000 feet (2,133 meters).
