ADDIS ABABA, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- More than 230 domestic and foreign companies have finalized preparations to take part in Ethiopia's largest international trade fair, organizers said.

The Ethiopian International Trade Fair, which will be held on Nov. 1-5, will congregate local enterprises as well as foreign companies from China, Greece, Russia, India, Singapore, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Iran, the organizer, Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA), said on Wednesday.

Companies from other African countries, including Sudan, Somalia and Morocco, are also said to be among participants during the five-day trade show, the largest gathering of producers and service providers in the capital Addis Ababa, ECCSA said.

The largest share of companies that have already finalized their preparations to take part at the trade fair are said to be from the manufacturing and service sectors.

Participating foreign investors could utilize the opportunity to assess and enter in the emerging Ethiopian market, said ECCSA Secretary General Endalkachew Sime.

The trade fair is also a "perfect opportunity" for the east African country to promote the various investment potentials to attract foreign direct investment, he said.
