VIENNA, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Austria government said on Wednesday that it would not join a United Nations (UN) migration pact, which is set to be adopted in December at a UN conference in Morocco.

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz views the migration pact critically, saying it is mixing up the seeking protection with labor migration.

In the migration crisis in 2015, Austria, the small central Europe country, took in around 1 percent of its population in asylum seekers. The crisis reshaped Austria's politics, in which the right-wing government coalition was later formed.
