TUNIS, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- The assets in foreign currency of Tunisia have witnessed 83 days of net increase, according to official figures from Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) Thursday.

Some Tunisian analysts explained this slight increase by the recent exit of Tunisia from the international financial market crowned by a Eurobond of 500 million euros (570.36 million U.S. dollars).

Faced with the current situation in Tunisia, the Board of Directors of the BCT was "concerned" about the fragility of the external sector.

According to BCT, an important coordination is required to find urgent solutions to reduce the current account deficit, which affects net foreign currency assets financed mainly by external indebtedness. BCT decided to keep its key interest rate at 6.75 percent.
