HAVANA, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Cuban authorities on Friday released the Caribbean island nation's latest export offer of goods and services at an international fair held here.

The move to promote Cuban exports came on the final day of the 36th edition of Havana international fair, FIHAV 2018, which has since Monday brought together some 3,000 business representatives from 65 countries.

More than 300 products from some 70 Cuban companies make up the 120-page portfolio, which covers sectors from seafood, beverages to cigars and sugar, among others.

On Wednesday, Cuba released at the fair its 2018-2019 portfolio of investment opportunities, which contains 525 projects worth an estimated 11.6 billion U.S. dollars. Meanwhile, 45 percent of the projects are for Cuba's special development zone of Mariel (ZEDM), an industrial park and deep water port which will become the biggest infrastructure project in a decade.

Cuba is seeking increases in both investment and export. Roberto Verrier, director of the state center for promotion of exports and investments, ProCuba, said the latest Cuban export portfolio will be presented at the first edition of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) slated for Nov. 5-10 in Shanghai.

"For us, the Shanghai expo has a great significance, and a big delegation of the Cuban government and of Cuban companies will be there," Verrier said.

Cuba will send a delegation of representatives from 34 companies, which will also take part in a China-Cuba business forum on Nov. 8 on the sidelines of the CIIE. The forum is focused on exchanges and cooperation in the areas of investment, tourism, culture and health care. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel will attend the event during his state visit to China.
