LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- The death toll from Northern California's massive wildfire, dubbed Camp Fire, climbed to 23 after local officials confirmed 14 more bodies have been recovered from the fire area on Saturday.

According to the Butte County Sheriff's department, 508 calls requesting the department to check on people who were missing have been initially received.

Most of those calls have been resolved but 110 calls remain outstanding. Butte County Sheriff's department stressed that doesn't mean 110 people are missing.

The Camp Fire has burned its way into state history as the most destructive blaze on record in less than three days, destroying over 6,700 homes and commercial structures.
