Macedonian govt to allocate 1.8 mln USD to tackle air pollution

SKOPJE, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Macedonian government will allocate 98 million Macedonian Denar (about 1.8 million U.S. dollars) to tackle air pollution, a press release said Wednesday.

"Curbing air pollution is set as a strategic priority of the Macedonian government for 2019," read the release.

Moreover, the Macedonian government recommended that additional funds for this purpose should be provided from the donors community.

On Wednesday, the government also reviewed the draft program for reducing air pollution and tasked the Ministry of Finance to include the document in the 2019 draft budget.
