TOKYO, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks retreated Friday morning in choppy trade after U.S. chipmaker Nvidia released a weaker-than-expected sales and profit guidance which weighed on similar issues here.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 112.71 points, or 0.52 percent, from Thursday to 21,690.91.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, lost 10.18 points, or 0.62 percent, at 1,628.79.
Miscellaneous product, metal product and rubber product-linked issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break.
