ISLAMABAD, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- At least four people were killed and 15 others rescued on Monday after a boat capsized in Pakistan's southern Khairpur district, local Urdu media reported.
According to the reports, the boat was carrying around 20 villagers to the bank of the country's largest Indus River when it capsized near Sagion area of Khairpur in the southern province of Sindh.
Following the incident, district administrations and rescue teams have been rushed to the area and shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital.
Cause of the accident has not been determined yet. Police said that apparently the incident happened due to over-loading.
The villagers were on their way to a village of their relatives when the accident happened, Abb Takk News said, adding that a woman and three children were among the dead.
