NEW DELHI, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- The death toll in Tuesday's explosions in India's southwestern state of Maharashtra has risen to six, as nine injured persons are undergoing treatment in a local hospital, according to local media reports.
The explosions took place at the Central Ammunition Depot (CAD) in the Sonegaon Aabaaji village, 18 km away from Maharashtra's Wardha district, when a group of security personnel were disposing of the unusable explosives.
Among the injured, three are said to be in a critical condition.
Three people were declared dead at the spot, while the other three died during treatment. The deceased include an ammunition factory employee, three labourers and two local villagers.
