The Equatorial Guinean president commended Sudan's contribution to the African continent, particularly the peace in South Sudan and Central Africa Republic, said Sudan's Information Minister, Bushara Gumaa Aro.
"Equatorial Guinea has independent stances towards African issues, including reduction of United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) and the peace issue in Central Africa Republic," he noted.
Foreign Minister of Equatorial Guinea, Simeon Oyono Esono Angue, for his part, said the visit of his country's president to Sudan came within the context of the distinguished ties between the two sides.
"The president attaches special concern to enhancing the relations with Sudan. This willingness tends to enhance the relations in all fields," said Angue.
