British film director Nicolas Roeg dies at 90

LONDON, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- British film director Nicolas Roeg passed away at age 90, local media said Saturday.

Roeg was born in London in 1928. A well known film director and former cinematographer, he has directed in a career that spanned 60 years films Performance, Don't Look Now, and Bad Timing, to name a few.

Fans commemorated him through social media, posting his images and shared his famous quotes, such as "We're all influenced by everything unless we're locked in an empty room."

The Twitter account of Jim Gabriel said "Hail Nicolas Roeg, arguably the greatest British director of his era", adding "if you've never seen Bad Timing, please get on that, if someone said it was the best film of the Eighties, I wouldn't blink."
