SINGAPORE, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) has signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MOC) with Cisco Systems, Inc. to formalize a mutual framework for cooperation in cybersecurity, according to a statement released by CSA on Thursday.

The two sides are committed to enhancing information sharing on the cyber threat landscape and boosting efforts to facilitate the exchange of ideas and develop talent, according to the MOC.

The statement quoted David Koh, chief executive of CSA, as saying that the authority looks forward to continuing good work with Cisco to build up the cyber defences and grow the cybersecurity ecosystem to address cybersecurity challenges.

Tay Bee Kheng, managing director for Singapore at Cisco, said Singapore has benefited immensely from digital adoption, but it needs to tackle the evolving cybersecurity threat to exploit the full potential of digital economy.

"We need the right combination of people, processes and technology to tackle the issue. At Cisco, we are committed to playing our part on this front and are delighted to partner with CSA in helping Singapore achieve her Smart Nation vision," she added.
