Myanmar appoints new minister of gov't office

YANGON, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's Presidential Office has appointed U Min Thu as new minister of the Office of the Union Government, according to an order of the office issued late on Thursday.

U Min Thu's assignment was to fill the vacant post of U Thaung Tun who was reassigned as minister of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations on Nov. 19, a new ministry formed to boost local and international investment.

There are now 22 ministries formed by the incumbent government after taking office in April 2016.

Meanwhile, the President's Office also named Daw Wah Wah Tun as new judge for the Rakhine State High Court on Thursday.
