RABAT, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- A total of 15 people with suspected links to the murder of two foreign tourists in Morocco were brought Sunday before the investigating judge in charge of terrorism cases, the attorney general at Rabat's appeal court announced.

On Dec. 17, bodies of two women tourists, a Danish and a Norwegian, were found murdered near the tourist village of Imlil, 60 km from of Marrakech.

The Prosecutor's Office has asked the judge to investigate the suspects for "terrorist acts", including "the crimes of forming a gang to prepare and carry out terrorist schemes, deliberately putting the life of people in danger, inciting people to carry out terrorist acts and glorifying terrorism," the attorney general said in a statement.

He also asked to put the suspects in pre-trial detention.

Investigations into the murder of the two tourists are still underway, the same source said, adding that seven other suspects, who are in custody, are expected to be brought to justice in the coming days.

The last terrorist attack in Morocco dates back to April 2011, when a suspected suicide bomber blew apart a famous tourist cafe in Marrakech, killing 17 and wounding dozens of others.
