PARIS, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- French President Emmanuel Macron's popularity rating has recovered in recent weeks, according to a poll published here on Wednesday.
23 percent of those questioned in an Ipsos survey said they were satisfied with Macron's performance, up three percentage points in January from a month earlier.
But the pollster noted that the president's score remains lower than that registered before the start of the "yellow vest" movement, when his approval rating was 26 percent.
The number of right-wing respondents who appreciated Macron's leadership has also increased. 26 percent of Republican party supporters approved his policies, 6 percentage points more than in December, the survey showed.
In another poll released last week by YouGov, Macron's approval rating improved by three percentage points in January after he had suffered a severe drop in public support since the "yellow vest" protests in mid-November.
