ULAN BATOR, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia has recently registered six cases of H1N1 virus infections, and one of the victims has died, local media reported Thursday, citing the country's State First Central Hospital.

After testing specimens from 25 suspected cases of H1N1 infection so far this year, State First Central Hospital in the capital city of Ulan Bator has found that six people have suffered from swine flu, and one of them has died, the NTV television channel reported.

Swine flu, also known as influenza A/H1N1-2009, is a human respiratory disease. People get the disease from other people, instead of pigs.

It has an incubation period of one to four days and has high virulence if not diagnosed and treated in time.
