NAIROBI, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- Kenya will host the fifth Africa Coaches' High Performance training, which brings over 30 tacticians to Nairobi from March 2 to 4.

The course, which will be organized by African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB), is part of the strategic plan by the continental governing body to upgrade African coaches with the latest information and trends in team management ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

CAVB President Amr Elwani said the continent is lack behind in latest technology and coaching trends and needs to upgrade if the Africa teams have to compete favorably at the Olympics and World Championships.

"The seminar is a platform to receive the latest coaching methodologies and systems as well as contemporary approaches to achieve best performance for high level competitions," said Elwani on Monday.

The course will be instructed by Mauro Berruto of Italy and directed by Sherif El Shemerly, who is president of the CAVB Coaches Commission.

"It is also a networking platform for all the top coaches on the continent to interact among themselves and receive knowledge from vastly experienced expert coaches," said Elwani.
