SARAJEVO, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- Police in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) seized over 100 kilograms of the drug 'skunk' and arrested three persons here on Wednesday, the Cantonal Prosecutors' Office of Sarajevo Canton said in a press statement.
The drug was found in vehicles stopped at a highway toll station near Hadzici, a town located some 20 kilometers east of Sarajevo.
During the search, police officers have reportedly also found banknotes of different countries, mobile phones and other objects that could be relevant to further criminal proceedings.
The suspects of the criminal offense of unauthorized production and trafficking of drugs will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton for further investigation.
BiH, along with other Balkan countries, lies on the route of international drug trafficking linking western Europe and Asia.
