SINGAPORE, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.16 percent, or 5.12 points, to close at 3,201.15.
A total of 1.15 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 969.22 million Singapore dollars (about 713.13 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 210 to 184.
The STI index went up 0.13 percent, or 4.23 points, to close at 3,206.27 Monday.
