BANGKOK, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's Election Commission has not reached a conclusion as to whether it will forward Thai Raksa Chart Party's case to the constitutional court to dissolve the party over its nomination of the king's sister as candidate for prime minister, the commission said in a press release on Tuesday.

Thai Raksa Chart (Thais protect country) Party will launch a petition on Wednesday for the Election Commission to wait for it to submit pieces of evidence and witnesses to refute the alleged wrongdoings, Pichit Chuenban, head of the party's legal section, said late Tuesday.

The alleged wrongdoings included naming Princess Ubolratana Mahidol as candidate for prime minister in the March general election, and breach of the constitution's organic law pertaining to political parties.

Thai Raksa Chart Party nominated Ubolratana as candidate for prime minister on Feb. 8, followed by a royal announcement later that day saying involving the princess in politics was "inappropriate" and was against the constitution and constitutional monarchy.
