YANGON, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and 39 others injured in a truck accident in Myanmar's Magway region, the Home Affairs Ministry said on Wednesday.
With a total of 40 passengers aboard, a Dyna truck rolled backwards and overturned while travelling on the uphill road in Aunglan township at 1:30 p.m. local time on Tuesday.
The truck rollover killed a 50-year-old passenger and injured 39 others including 27 women.
The injured were brought to the Pyay General Hospital and Pyalo Township Hospital for treatment.
The truck driver who fled the scene was booked for negligence driving by the township police.
