KIEV, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and visiting European Council President Donald Tusk met on Tuesday to discuss the situation in and around Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian government's press service, the parties exchanged their views on the tensions in the Kerch Strait and the developments in the conflict-hit region of Donbas.

They agreed that the conflict in Donbas could be resolved exclusively by political and diplomatic means and the UN peacekeeping mission could be an important instrument to put an end to the violence.

Groysman and Tusk also discussed reforms in Ukraine, implementation of the Association Agreement, and bilateral cooperation in such spheres as justice, security, border management, cybersecurity.

Tusk arrived in Ukraine on Monday for a three-day working visit. Earlier he met Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and delivered a speech at the Ukrainian parliament.
