SUVA, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- An Australian man was found guilty on charges of importing drugs and possession of arms and ammunition in Fiji's High Court on Thursday.

John Nikolic was charged after drugs, cash, arms, and ammunition were found on board his yacht "Shenanigans" in Nadi, Fiji's third largest city, last year.

He was charged with two counts of importing illicit drugs and one count of possession of arms and ammunition without holding an arms license.

Nikolic was arrested after authorities seized 13 bricks of cocaine weighing 15 kg and ecstasy tablets with an estimated value of 30 million Fijian dollars (about 14 million U.S. dollars) from their yacht.

In the verdict, Fiji's High Court Judge Justice Daniel Goundar said according to the evidence presented in court, it clearly showed that Nikolic knew the presence of illicit drugs on his yacht.

He said the suspect also tried to halt the search.
