YANGON, March. 5 (Xinhua) -- A total of eight passengers were killed with 25 others injured in an express bus overturn on Myanmar's Yangon-Mandalay highway on Tuesday morning, said a release from the Highway Police Office.
With 42 passengers aboard, the High Class Express bus travelling from Kale town, Sagaing region to Yangon crashed into the highway guardrails and overturned due to a flat tire near the milepost 77/3-77/4 on the highway at about 06:00 a.m. local time.
"The crash caused some deaths on the spot which included three monks and some seriously injured," an official from the Highway Police Force told Xinhua.
The injured were brought to a nearby township hospital.
