JUBA, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Japan has donated 3.2 million U.S. dollars to Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) to help boost South Sudan peace process, the bloc said on Tuesday.
Ismail Wais, IGAD special envoy to South Sudan, said in a statement that the funds will be used towards the implementation of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan.
He reiterated the East African bloc's commitment to the ending of the conflict in South Sudan through collaboration with parties and stakeholders, as well as through involvement of all interested parties in giving the South Sudanese people the peace they desperately want.
